Subject: The implementation of 1.2% Training Levy

Dear OGC Vendor,

As part of Oman Gas Company compliance to the ongoing commitment of ICV delivery and as a key element of the Ministry of Oil and Gas ICV Strategy, we would like to bring to your attention that OGC is supporting the implementation of the 1.2% Training Levy in compliance with the instruction of the Ministry of Oil & Gas.

The training levy implementation is across the oil and gas industry aiming to have a common sustainable approach to sponsor the development and training of Omanis to meet the sector’s demand for skilled national workforce.

The 1.2% Training Levy will be deducted from the net invoiced amount for all contracts and Purchase Orders (PO’s) awarded post 31st May 2019, unless otherwise reflected differently in the RFQ/contract document.

A separate communication will be issued in relation to the application of the training levy to existing contracts and open PO’s pending delivery with OGC.
