The company, participated recently in the 10th edition of the Oil and Gas West Asia Exhibition 2016 (OGWA) held during March 21 to 23 at Oman International Exhibition Centre. The international exhibition was inaugurated by HE Mohammad bin Al Zubair, Advisor to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos for Economic Planning Affairs and organised by Omanexpo in collaboration with the Ministry of Oil and Gas.
At OGC pavilion, the chief guest was welcomed by the Acting Executive Managing Director, Sultan Al Burtmani, who briefed him on the company’s corporate history, major business highlights and current projects.
OGC’s pavilion had a special theme reflecting a key business element of gas transmission, Gas Compressor Station. The three day event was distinctively an attractive knowledge-sharing hub to visitors, of different ages and interests, as diverse OGC business engagement sessions were staged enlightening the visitors with the company’s operations activities in gas transmission. Virtual Reality video and simulation projecting Fahud Gas Compressor station and the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Control centre, (SCADA) took part of OGC showcasing programme demonstrated to visitors.
This year’s edition of OGWA attracted over 6,800 visitors and more than 276 participating companies from all over the world which highly indicates the significant importance of the Oil and Gas industry in Oman.
